Microsoft Teams Video Conference Updates - May 2020


Many users have been requesting great features that were found in Zoom meeting. Finally,  Microsoft has released their latest features in Microsoft Teams.

These are some of the new great features
  • Increase the number of simultaneous videos in a Microsoft Teams meeting from 4 to 9 (Zoom can show up to 49 videos)

  • Raise your hand!



  • Background Effects - You can select predetermined virtual background. However, there is a workaround which you can import and select your own customised background.  



Zoom performed poorly here if you do not a green screen or a plain background. Some Zoom users reported ghostly or discoloured video.  Here, Microsoft Teams has done extremely well for their virtual background. it works very well in any environmental settings.

  • Live Captions for iOS and Android
  • Microsoft 365 Live Event Limit Increased!
