History of Logitech Webcam - How did it all started?
In 1998, The first of Logitech’s QuickCam webcams, the QuickCam VC webcam featured an eyeball design that has become one of the most recognizable shapes in the PC industry.
Logitech purchased the QuickCam brand when the company acquired the hardware division of Connectix in
1998. Logitech has carefully fine-tuned the eyeball design over time. At that time CU-SeeMe is the most popular video conferencing software.
In 2009, Logitech acquired Lifesize.
2012, Logitech launched two model of Logitech ConferenceCam BCC950, CC3000E
2016, Lifesize was spun out of Logitech and is privately owned.
